We all want to know how to be happy, but we rarely consider the hidden costs of happiness?
Yes,It is not free. Like we pay cost to pursue something, similarly like that we have to pay (sacrifice) for happiness.
In today’s happiness-obsessed culture, most pursue just the opposite: We all just want to know how to be happy with no costs, all benefits without any sacrifice & efforts.
We want the rewards without the risks, the gain without the pain. But we all know the great saying ,that "ironically, it’s this unwillingness to sacrifice anything, to give up anything, that makes us more miserable". Everything we gain comes from a sacrifice. It depends on us to decide and choose which thing is important for us at that point of life. The important question lies here,"What we should sacrifice?".....Well! that depends on what you aim to achieve. Every step you take it is considered as more risk prone.
Happiness takes work … real work! It requires change and moral growth and developing qualities and traits that may not yet be fully formed. It requires overcoming some bad habits of negative thought and behavior and developing some new positive ones.
And while it’s true that we all want to be happier, far fewer are willing to pay its price, just as there are fewer willing to do the work of losing weight and living healthy, eating healthy food and doing exercise regularly than those passively wishing to lose weight or tone up.
The lip-service is easily paid; the commitment falls woefully short. Happiness is not different … and in many ways, even more difficult.
Life is an uphill climb to success. Sometimes it’s a battle with our own thoughts. Happiness is why we climb at all. Happiness will be the reward at the end of that climb if we take the path that leads to it. But it will also be sprinkled liberally along the way as we do the work necessary to get at it.
But the cost of a happy life lies at the heart and the mind of the person achieving it. It is hidden in the chambers of the soul. It sneaks behind closed doors of the human mind. In fact, it is the most impactful factor for the condition of the heart, mind and soul of the person.
And that is the reason why the cost of happiness is a difficult one to pay. It requires regular attention and regular effort and most importantly a Degree of Patience that can be extremely difficult to sustain. But you can be happy, only once when you get on your words and willingness to achieve certain goals and objectives.
You can increase the joy of living. Inner peace and happiness are interconnected. You want more happiness? Learn to calm your mind - make it less restless. You can rise above the obstacles to happiness and begin living a beautiful and rewarding life … if you’re willing.
One day, One step, One trait at a time.
Some important points to live the life happily:
- Take everyday as a new chance to chase the happiness.
- Surround yourself with Positive vibes
- Everyone fails, no need to get embarraced about it. Infact learn from your failures and try to overcome them.
- Overcome negative thoughts and feelings.
- Be focused towards your goals. (Meditation is the medicine to be metally focused)
The reward will be well worth the cost paid😊.
Thankyou !
